Room was decent. View was incredible. Had a noise complaint called in on us when we weren’t even loud. And front office allowed us to change rooms. So that was great.

We have stayed in this building 4 times now, first three were private condo owners. We choose to stay there because the building is the closest to the water and you can hear the waves as you fall asleep, with the door open. We love being able to sit on the balcony for breakfast and other meals...just a lovely view, especially the sunsets! This last time no private units available, so we had to stay in the hotel-owned unit. It is disappointing in that it doesn't contain the homey touches and amenities that exude pride of ownership like the privately held units. I realized after reserving this room, when I read the reviews, that another guest had noted it was somewhat different and dated from the pic and that the bed feels rather hard as no pillow top mattress. The pillows were comfortable and we were surprised we still woke up well rested. Instead of the all blue motif, we were greeted with the red bed scarf and pillows...I purposefully chose the all blue room. So that was a disappointment...sorry, I'm a designer and don't care for the red. The red was featured on another room pic. Perhaps a mix-up with housekeeping. The tops of the furniture were marred and desperately need repainted even though the furniture is to look worn with sanded edges. They could amend this with nice place mats at least, like the one on the desk. There were picture hangers above the bed with no pictures, lol. The other pictures in the room had the hangers showing at the top! OH my....when you end up spending $250 per night, everything included, you would expect the finishes to be extra nice and at least done correctly. The kitchen table was marred with images from what appears to be plastic bags stuck to it. No added touches like a vase with flowers or candle or placemats. The kitchen sink is in need of a strainer to catch food so it doesn't go down drain. It was all clean at least, including the fridge. The bathroom floor needs a good scrubbing as the corners are round and I let the front desk know that the handle to the water on tub needs attention before it falls off as you had to turn off just so, or the water continued to run. There was NO storm door on balcony which was fine...until the birds swooped in a little too close, lol. Also left word with front desk to maybe put one on. We noticed the room next to ours had one but broken and saw how they sent someone up next day to replace when the guest complained. That gentleman was staying in a privately owned room. All in all, the room grew on us, but like I said homeowner touches missing. You would think the hotel could spring for some folding beach chairs, like owners graciously supply, rather than be forced to rent the loungers or take to the sand. The only other recommendation would be to update the drapes to match the decor. Just needed spruced up and the things I mentioned taken care of. Another nice touch, if you are supplying the cheaper plastic balcony furniture, how about springing for a small cafe size table so one can dine with ease. We actually moved the desk out to use for meals and returned inside each night. That is actually the one thing I look for when renting from a private owner: the ambiance and romantic meals overlooking the ocean deserve an inviting, comfortable and practical dining experience, rather than the low side table that is offered.
On a good note, even though we returned from dinner to find part of our street on the island, temporarily without water, we met the manager who was very personable and had the opportunity to hear him interacting with guests about various concerns. Between him and the newer front desk clerk in the evenings, I was impressed with their eagerness to see that needs were addressed. Having also worked in the hospitality industry myself, I am aware you can't please everyone all the time. But I would love to see this resort step it up a notch and class the rooms up a bit for the money. They are actually twice what we paid 8 years ago, private as well as hotel owned. Oh and finally, be sure to check out the freebies included with the room. I happened to find in the smaller print that limo service was offered at the time of our stay, with us just being responsible for the tip. They used Presidential limo, which was WONDERFUL! We loved our driver who was so personable and PROMPT to the minute! The Xplorie representative has to set it up for you. We were hoping to take advantage of one free bike rental with the purchase of another, but they were not offering at this time, they were thinking because of covid. All in all, you will like staying here. Also note, it's a shorter more beautiful walk if you take the beach down to the Bilmar and cross over to Publix, rather than the sidewalk, or just go to the 7-11 for a few grocery items which is about a block away from the room, the opposite direction. It's a 2.5 mile walk to John's Pass and Madeira Beach shops and restaurants, which we totaled over 10 miles on our metatarsals the first two days. We love the exercise, enjoy the walk along the way collecting shells, and the people wherever you go are always incredibly friendly! Don't forget to visit the local Treasure Island shops along Gulf Boulevard! Though it's not the quaint shopping experience like the shops in Madeira, you will find friendly shopkeepers with some unique finds and the "Treasure Island" name on the shirts and hats. We keep trying to go to other states for vacation, but when it comes down to it, we keep returning to this place! OH! One last thing...the tiki bar is nice and the Adirondack chairs around the pool are incredibly comfortable! We noticed one of the balconies owners also had purchased a set for themselves. Enjoy! (Hopefully the owners will take note of my suggestions and future guest will be pleasantly surprised to feel they are truly at their home away from home with the added benefit of incredible ocean views!) God Bless!

The picture of the room that was on the website when I booked looked nothing the actual room. It was updated like ut said online. It had a small tv in the room. You could tell it had a bigger tv at one time because the wall mount was still on the wall. Bed wasnt not really comfortable. Ac didnt work well either had it turned down to 66 degrees and it seemed to never really get cool in the room. Their pictures show 4 new grills but only had one and it was well used and look liked it wasnt taken care of.

We love the tiki bar and how late the tiki bar stayed open. We swim in the pool at night, it was such a vibe. How close you are to the ocean is amazing and the staff were super polite and nice. The rooms are super clean and the convenience of the outdoor shower right next to the hotel was awesome. We will definitely be staying here again. I can’t wait to see what it looks like after the construction because it’s already perfect as it is

What a jewel of a find in Treasure Island! My stay at Island Inn Resort was wonderful. I found the property well maintain, clean, safe, and convenient to many restaurants and shops. I appreciated the free parking and amenities offered by the resort during my stay. My room 510 was clean, comfortable, and updated and offered beautiful gulf views. I highly recommend Island Resort Inn and will definitely be back soon!

The Island in is our favorite place to stay!! This was our 4th visit and every time we’ve stayed in a different room. The rooms are always clean and inviting. You can’t beat the sound of waves and the beautiful sunset view from the balcony. If I could give this place 6 starts I would!

The location is awesome! Right on the Gulf and in walking distance to restaurants, party store, a some cute shops! The hotel staff was great! We arrived early & they had a place to store our luggage & then housekeeping gave a a few beach towels so we could hang out on the beach. The on-site Tiki Bar is a fun spot, too!

The perfect place for a beautiful getaway. The whole place is well maintained, clean and met our needs! Sunsets are amazing, pool is heated and recently improved! Bar is simple yet perfect! For a vacation where you want convenience to restaurants, shops, beach and palm trees, I’d stay here again and again!

What a quaint place! Our room was super clean, well appointed with a great beach view and minimal foot traffic or noise outside our door. We had a quick getaway and this place was perfect. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. Due to very windy chilly weather we did not get to try out the pool or tiki bar but next time for sure!
